That is the dilemma, as I am on my mini desk workstation setup after bingeing on YouTube videos during the festive season holidays. It was, however, selective YouTube video binging to recover from my usual blog writing sessions as a joyful copywriter.

That at times turn into writing sprees of purpose and drive to make the world a better place to live, learn, work, and do business with no human distraction and disruption that is susceptible to broken workflows.

Guiding Principles

However, the guiding principle in the present digital world should be that you choose to be human first, before AI tools and apps. If you don’t, you either drown in it and get swallowed into a robotic and autopilot state in executing your entrepreneurial projects or at the workplace. 

And that leads to losing touch with yourself as a human being who can think and reason about what to use and what not to use at your workstation or workplace.

Everything in moderation is a motto that brings satisfaction and fulfilment in what you do. So, there should be no work broken by using multiple AI tools and apps, nor disillusioned by social media dopamine, especially as you start 2026 knowing what AI can do and can’t do in digital marketing for solid brand building. 

After brainstorming that outcry about how work is broken at digital workplaces, here is how you can start 2026 with clarity and unity for seamless connection of your AI tools, apps, and workflow systems in your business operations and processes.

Declutter

Audit your workplace for both machine and human decluttering. Garbage in and garbage out! That means who and what needs to go, and what needs to remain for the new year 2026.  Just like the clutter-free festive shopping experience that we explored in our previous blog post. 

We are here again with the same principle of humanity at the forefront in the workplace, where work has become broken due to the cluttered use of apps and platforms that lack systematic applications for seamless integration.

That is echoed in the Click Up advert for workflow systems and apps. AI tools and apps in the wrong hands are breaking the internet with shallow, duplicated, and repetitive information and data. 

And the guiding principle, as usual, is value and purpose for clarity in how to use it for the benefit of all concerned in your creative game on the internet. That promotes human focus and concentration at workplaces and stations.

Don’t break the internet with junky tools and apps that do not contribute to furthering the cause of upholding humanity in a world that desperately needs more human principles and practices for healing workplaces and businesses. Here is how you can avoid being overpowered by AI tools in terms of focus, control, and concentration as a human person.

Think

Work is work. You should conduct it like a human being, with common sense in applications and, best of all, with assistance from AI tools and systems, and ensuring it is properly done by machines. 

That is why massive projects need a smart and passionate team for effective execution and practical applications. Machines don’t think; they assist and need valid and relevant input for reliable and efficient output.

This sends me back to my YouTube binging when I stumbled across these AI videos featuring Elon Musk with messages to the one and only imaginary lady with the same kind of voice captured in all those videos. 

My take here is if AI tools and apps were smarter and more efficient than human creators, they could have sensed the repetition of ideas and duplication of mindset the content reflects.  

Why would they reproduce human voices with more or less the same kind of messages as people are seeing on YouTube, featuring the same message of  hunting for a wife in each and every video of the same nature of presentation.

And if you look closely at its purpose and value, you are bound to realize that it is nothing but a fantasy, with its target audience most likely ladies. Which, to some extent, can be derogatory and a misrepresentation of humanity. And misuse of AI tools and apps in the real world. 

And perhaps an insult to humanity and how best they should think and reason. So, the distractive culprit here, from the misuse of AI tools, is the creator of such shallow videos that have little value on the internet.

Clarity

Clarity in your needs will ensure informed decision-making in your AI tools, apps, and systems for broken workflow operations and processes. That gives room for reasoning and common sense that promote AI and human collaboration.   

If you can’t define the purpose and value of what you are doing in your creative venture, it might mean that you are wasting time and playing games on the internet instead of building assets of value and benefit to humanity.

Though the creators see it as valid based on his mindset, it lacks authenticity of the real character and the value of his brand story.   

In that scenario, it is not the tools that break how you should do work. It is you who should maintain your humanity in using these AI tools. That promotes integrated workflow systems from connected AI tools and apps for solid brand building.

Experience

Experience in your work and your role in the creative venture means you know AI tools don’t need to break work but enhance execution for the achievement of business goals. You cannot have an immersive experience in doing work if you rely too much on AI tools and apps.

An immersive experience in the work you do means you are aware of sections where your attention is needed and where you need to heavily rely on AI. And at what degree of immersive experience can you contribute with the assistance of AI for progress in the creative projects?

An immersive experience means you are aware of the crux of the AI tools and apps and how they help to further productivity and boost customer experience.
